It's a Party Card

This was a fun, quick card I made for a few different challenges. There are so many fun blog challenges out there, but I've hardly gotten to scrap the past few days so I'm WAY behind. Just trying to catch up... slowly.

This card was made using the April 18th Card Sketch from My Sketch World... Lucy just ROCKS the sketches, 'nuff said!!

I also made it for Card-a-licious Challenge #20... to make a birthday card using blue, green and circles.

This card also counts towards 365 Cards Challenge #52... to use a brad, blossom and circle on a card.

I'm SOOOOO ready for my 3-day weekend, bring on the scrappiness!!!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!

So, what are YOU doing to be GREEN?!?!?!

We've been working on this all year so far. I've more anal then ever about flipping lights off when they're not being used... no one in my house knows how to do this I don't think (and they're all 16 and older, UGH!!). We made our own compost pile months ago, and added things to it all winter. Once it came time to plant our veggie garden we had lots of compost that we worked into the ground before planting. This year will be the BEST veggie garden we've had to date. Lots of stuff growing already. Also getting more into reusing items around the house, and recycling things too. :o)

Here's another card I made yesterday, this one counts for two different challenges. :o)

The first challenge was Celeste's Sewing Card Challenge from the My Sketch World Spring Crop... to use sewing somehow on your card. FUN!!

The second challenge... I used Sketch #2 from the new Unscripted Sketches Site... loving this new site!!

Mini Card Fun

Had lots of fun with Gloria's Scrap Bag Challenge from the My Sketch World Spring Crop that is going on all week!!

The challenge was to create mini cards or gift tags using only paper scraps and orphan embellies... love using up my scrap stash!!!

Thursday Night Card Fun

This week is my four 10's week, so I have today off, WOO-HOO!!! Planning on getting scrappy soon too... got all my house chores out of the way this morning. :o)

Had some Thursday night scrappy fun too... got two cards done while I watched Parks and Recreation and The Office. FUNNY stuff!!

For You ~ Gift Card Holder

Made this gift card holder for Day 43's Challenge from the 365 Cards Blog... to make a gift card holder. After a minute or two of thinking, I came up with this idea. Fun challenge!!

Hope Card

Having some scrappy fun this Easter Sunday. It started out WAY stormy in Houston this morning, but the rain has moved on, and it has turned out GORGEOUS!! Blue skies and lots of sunshine... we're supposed to be in the 80's today!!

The teens loved their Easter treat bags I made them... lots of candy and some cash, what's not to love, hehe!!

I made this card for Day 42's Challenge from the 365 Cards Blog... to stamp a background pattern on some cardstock, use no patterned paper.

Also made this for Krista's April Stamp Card Challenge from over at the My Sketch World Forum... to use stamps and create your own patterned paper... super fun challenges!!

Go For It Card

I have been terrible this week about getting the 365 Cards Blog challenges done the day they are posted... oh well, still having a blast playing along. Maybe I will be on time next week, hmmm....

Anyway, Challenge #40 was Spring Break themed... use "sun, sand, and surf to inspire you". Once I read this I went straight to my 3 Bugs "Island" papers... a super fun older line.

Cherish Card

Yesterday's challenge over at the 365 Cards Blog... to create a card using green, purple and orange... had me stumped, but not for long. I got to digging into my paper scraps drawer and pulled out the first 3 papers in these colors I came across. Had fun with it and it only took me a few minutes. Gotta love that!!

Finally got a chance to get a pic of this layout I finished up last night. Had some fun with the April 1st Layout Sketch from My Sketch World. Lucy rocks the sketches!!
